In this peace of writing I will compare the two poems “suicide in the Trenches” and “For the Fallen”. The both were wrote in World War One. In one way they both commemorate he dead even if I is in two completely different ways. “Suicide in the Trenches” uses the way of death to help us remember the dead. “For the Fallen” takes the way of making the solders look like heroes.
One way the two poems commemorate the dead is by making us remember the solders who died for us during the war. In “For the Fallen” it says “We will remember them”. This will help us remember them as it shows what we should do to when we are thinking.
Not a bad introduction. There is a vague grasp of the poems and their content, but little evidence of deep reading here. -RP
